JUCCCE-CECEP China Energy Forum

Our fourth JUCCCE China Energy Forum used an innovative interactive and bilingual format to explore collaboration opportunities on sustainable technologies for China. The Nov. 19-20, 2011 event was hosted by the City of Chengdu, and co-organized by JUCCCE and China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection (CECEP).

Key topics discussed at the forum included international technologies, China's technology needs for the circular economy, and cross-sector, cross-border collaboration. Attendees of the forum praised JUCCCE for convening such an extraordinary amount of global expertise in sustainable technologies and were excited to see how the solutions proposed at the forum can accelerate the transformation in how China and the world generates and consumes energy. The China Executive Director of the U.S. Department of Energy, Marty Schoenbauer, said, "Thanks for once again organizing a top notch forum. The format was perfect for this event-setting it apart from the rest." Chen Shu Guang, Vice President of CECEP, declared, "The forum created great connections among enterprises, research institutions and non-governmental organizations for cooperation.”

We at JUCCCE firmly believe that only through collaboration with innovative technology companies joined with China’s ability to deploy at scale quickly will we be able to create low-cost sustainable solutions for the world.
