On February 10th 2011, JUCCCE facilitated the establishment of the Mongolia’s first Green Building Council. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Council. After our research in Mongolia we published a report on the need for more sustainable building codes in Mongolia, which culminated in the formation of this council to implement greener construction standards.
The creation of the Green Building Council cements Mongolia’s commitment to developing a sustainable and healthy building industry. The mission of the Council focuses around introducing sustainable building practices and contributing to increasing energy, water and resource efficiency. This symbolizes an important move towards safer, healthier and more sustainable buildings in Mongolia.
