Family Fun at Bella Napoli!
On Saturday, March 25th, 2017, over 15 children and their parents took part of Food Heroes Family Workshop co-hosted with Bella Napoli, a family Italian restaurant in Shanghai.
This workshop included activities for kids ages 4-6 and 7-10, who were divided into 2 groups to complete tasks and games together to encourage them to Eat A Rainbow Everyday! Both age groups learned about new healthy foods, practiced healthy food vocabulary, and exercised their creative skills during the workshop. Getting children interested in healthy food and the environment should start with games and activities to pique their interest, intrigue their taste buds, and make them curious for more.
The children learned to play flashcard games using the Food Heroes Rainbow Flashcard Deck, which was included in each participant’s goody bag. Parents who attended with their children also learned new ideas for healthy meal and snack ideas from Laimei Yeung, a health coach, mom, and owner of Bella Napoli.
